How to Sit and Work Without Back Pain

by - 2:57 PM

Sitting can be a pain...literally. Sitting in a poor position can lead to back pain, neck pain, headaches,  and more. This video shares a few tips that help me stay in a better position as I sit to work.

In summary:

  1. Position your hips in the back of the chair
  2. Adjust your seat, or choose a chair, to place your feet flat on floor and knees equal to hips
  3. Place a towel roll in the small of your back to maintain neutral spine
  4. Position your shoulder blades back and down
  5. Position your screen at arm’s length away and slightly below eye level
  6. If available, rest arms on armrest to keep shoulders relaxed
